Four Months Old!

Guess who has found his hands? Greyson will go cross eyed checking out these new awesome items he has discovered as he stares in amazement. He likes to suck his thumb and also sometimes trying to fit his whole fist in his mouth. He rolled over for the first time a couple of days ago. He would get TICKED every time too cuz he doesn't really love being on his tummy, so I would flip him back over and he would just roll over again! He also somehow does a 360 (is that what it is called, or is it a 180? I don't know, anyway, he turns a complete circle) when he is laying on the ground just kicking his legs. This is a pic of him just after he rolled onto his tummy and he's trying to get his arm out from under himself. Notice his guitar jammies, just for daddy...
The other night I was just playing with him and getting him to smile and I thought it would be funny to wrap his burp rag on top of his head... Rich said, "Don't let your mom abuse you like that buddy." I thought it was kind of cute, it looks like he just got out of the shower or something.
My kids have never been accused of having little feet...His pediatrician's office always does these footprints with their height and weight on the side at each well check. Kind of fun for the scrapbook. 16 lbs 14 oz = 75% weight 26 1/2 inches = 90% height 3 immunizations = sad crying for 1 minute and then he was ok. He is tough.
We let him try out his excersaucer tonight. I think he liked it. He hung out in there for awhile just checking it out. I think he mostly just liked watching his sisters prancing around him while sitting up instead of being attacked by them while laying on the floor. He is still such a good baby. We are lucky to have him and are enjoying every minute of him!!!

First!

Well, I can't believe it but TODAY is Saige's FIRST day of FIRST grade!!! She is growing up so fast I just can't hardly stand it! She was SO excited to start school today and has been talking about it for quite awhile now! The whole walk to school this morning she couldn't stop talking about how excited she was. And something kind of funny, on the walk to school, I noticed she had two different kind of socks on, both white but different...but we were running too late to go home and change it, so hopefully nobody notices. Saige just said, "It's okay mom cuz I like to cross my feet." It was so sweet though when she said, "Mom, can you walk me to my class?" So, I am glad she still wanted me there with her for that, especially since Rich reminded me she won't always want me to be there like that... :( But as soon as she got to her class she was off and "Where do I put my back pack?" She wasn't giving me hugs or anything!!! So, I just kind of yelled out "Bye Saige, I love you!" I realized after I did that, that someday, she will be embarrased of me doing that too... Oh well, I guess that is just how it goes. Hopefully she isn't so excited or as nervous as she was for kindergarten though because on her first day of kindergarten she threw up! Anyway, Here is my ADORABLE FIRST GRADER on her FIRST day of FIRST grade!!! I don't know what we are going to do without her all day!

Our week...

We went to visit my cousin the dentist. My kids LOVE going to the dentist. Maybe they are not normal but they always go "Yay we get to go to the dentist." I have always just tried to act like it is a fun thing so they aren't afraid of it. They think it is so fun to have their checkups and to get a new toothbrush, toothpaste, floss and of course a token to pick a prize out of the machine!!! Saige got her back molar teeth sealed but she did NOT like the cotton in her mouth, she felt like she was going to swallow it...Cute puffy cheeks... She was a little nervous about the cotton still, notice the look on her face and the way she is holding her hand...Other than that she had a great time.
Misha follows Saige's lead and acts like it is fun to go to the dentist too. Despite the look on her face in these pictures, she was just trying to open her mouth as big as an alligator, She was VERY brave and happy. She had a little tiny cavity on one of her back molars.

Rich had a check up too but I didn't get any pics of him. We picked him up from work to go to the dentist so he brought a change of clothes so he wouldn't have to be in his work clothes the whole night, but he forgot to bring his shoes, SO...this is what you get...I told him to forget the socks, but obviously he did not listen to me...He's going for comfort.
Wednesday night I started feeling pretty sick, I think I had strep, and Thursday morning I wasn't doing too much better yet. Saige was worried about me and Misha decided she was going to make "mommy princess" feel better. So, she got her bag of princess goods and started working her magic. This necklace and yellow feather were sure to make me feel better...
This is her bag of goods. After the necklace and feather were properly placed, she continued working her healing magic by painting my nails with pretend polish and rubbing pretend lotion all over my legs and arms. "Are you feeling better mommy princess?" She would also occasionally shake a random object in my face saying "This will make you feel better"...
Of course the healing process wasn't complete until she did her magic princess dance with her wand. And what do you know, with all of that and a nice prescription of antibiotics, I am feeling much MUCH better now! Thank you Misha, you sweet little thing!
Then tonight, one of our home teachers stopped by with his horse to see if the girls wanted to go for a ride. They were SO excited!!! So they went for a couple of laps around the neighborhood and along the way they even found their caterpillar tunnel that the wind blew away last night and they have been looking for it all afternoon! What lucky little girls!!!
And they are just so stinkin cute, if you ask me........

The Girls Home

Kenny and Mary Ellen rented the girls home for a night. It is up in Mantua. It was a good time. We had dinner and the kids and Jade went down the biggest slip and slide ever imaginable. Chad and Joanna came up and brought a projector and we watched movies up stairs on the wall later that night. Ken and Mary Ellen went home and slept in their own bed that night while we all slept on the floor or out in tents. Ken and Mary Ellen returned early the next morning and made us a great breakfast. The sprinklers came on during the night while Chad and Joanna were out in their tent.My camera does a panorama thing I had to try out. Here it is.
This is the view from the top deck of the girls home.

Family Reunion!

So, we had our second family reunion this past weekend. It was my mom's side, the Cochran family. We went camping on some property that my aunt has up in Bennington Idaho. I don't know if I am much of a camper anymore but my kids had fun and it was fun to see everyone. The mosquitos were horrible!!! Rich and my cousin Matt giving us some campfire entertainment. We watched a movie each night on the back of this camper. The kids thought that was so cool to watch a movie outside.
Misha was SO excited to sleep in a tent. She wanted to go to sleep as soon as we set it up and had a lot of fun playing in there...
Greyson was even having fun...Except for the mosquitos. I tried to keep them away from him but he is just too dang sweet I guess...His poor little face and head got attacked!!!

The kids painted little sail boats...

Then raced them down the stream...

Made cupcakes and enjoyed them as you can see from Misha's face...

And cooled off on the slip and slide!!!
Woah MISHA!!! I thought this was the funniest picture catching her slip on the slide in action.

Saige caught a pet caterpiller that she named fuzzy and then set free later. Look closely on her arm and you can see him.
My cute little niece Harlee was loving this puppy. Misha was not loving the puppy. She was keeping clear of the dogs as much as possible.
It was fun to see everyone but I was glad to come home and shower! The kids loved it and hopefully none of us get west nile virus.........
