Bedtime Stories...

So tonight we were tucking the girls into bed and Rich has a story that he tells the girls when it is his turn to tuck them in that he just continues. That is how he ends it, the 2 mice named Squeakers and Niffy go on an adventure and then he ends it with "To be continued" leaving the girls in much anticipation, as you can imagine... Well, after he did his story, I started a new one and when that one was over Misha said "It is my turn now!" So, she begins, "Okay...How does it start again?" And I said, "Once upon a time." So she just ran with it, "Once upon a time there was a little butterfly and then there was a little girl and the butterfly asked the little girl, Do you want a ride? And the little girl asked the butterfly, Well, do you have seatbelts? And they flew all around and then, I want to be done telling the story now mom." "Okay Misha, That was a good story." Then we sang Twinkle and Child's prayer, said prayers and kissed them good night and as we shut the door leaving "just a crack" Rich and I went out in the living room and laughed and thought of how cute we think our kids are! I am so greatful for the happiness they bring to me with their sweet innocence and funny thoughts. I am greatful to be a mom!
